Get Physical With Chris Sorbello

Isn't it beautiful? The CD, not my hand. I love the cover, approve of the tracklisting and appreciate the fact that we're getting a physical single. Thank you, Hussle! You can pre-order your very own copy of "So Lonely" from Chaos now or wait until the 19th of April to hunt it down in one of the three remaining record stores that still sell singles in Australia. Alternatively, you could just enter my competition and hope for the best. All you have to do is leave a comment suggesting a song for Chris to cover on her debut album. The three most interesting/amusing entries will win a copy of "So Lonely". It's easier than Kiely Williams! And who knows, Chris might even take your advice. Oh and here's the amazing video one more time. Those smoke dancers never fail to mesmerise...

My choice is so OBVIOUS it hurts: she HAS to do an electro-pop english rendition of "Estoy Bailando"!!!

"I'm drinking your Coca-cola..."

And I'm talking seriously, I think it could be JUST GREAT. Down there it will sound like something new and fresh and it will open her the doors of Europe and of the gay-scene in Spain, Italia and all the Eurovision countries.

She should do "Over To You Now" by Britney Spears! it's the greatest electropop song about anal since dannii's "gone"!

A song that I truly love, with many remixes floating on youtube to back me up BBD style, is Precious Life by CRW presents Veronika.

The beats pound so hard you'll have to check your ass to see if you're actually bleeding or not.

The floaty melancholia of the vocals would be perfect for the understated sass that suits Chris so well on So Lonely (I must have not heard that song last time you posted on her as I genuinely love that song - only I need something harder and faster if it's too go on my treadmill playlist).

She should do a cover of Apollonia 6's "Blue Limosine":

She have no other choice than doing a cover of "maniac" by Michael Sembello
everybody will forget about the oldies and think she is the oen who sang it first and it will sell unites just because people will think it is "just" a remix

Not sure if we're aloud to leave multiple suggestions in the same post but two songs that scream fabulous and in need of an update:

Dolly Parton - Baby I'm Burning

Some of these suggestions are amazing! I'm going to make Chris a mixtape and force her to listen.

I probably should have set a time limit. Monday sounds good.

And s - you can list as many songs as you like!

I thought...rather than amusing...what will get Chris right to the top...I think she'll have a huge hit with these songs:

That Jasmine Baird song ;-) Wink wink

The First Time by Isabel Guzman. I think this could be huge for her.

Love Song by Isabel Guzman. Ditto

Down right dirty by Shine 4. (needs to be heard to be believed). Wasted on south african girlband Shine 4

Staying with Shine 4: So Elektries. Some others might know this as EliZe's Automatic. But Shine4's version is A LOT BETTER!

I have three recommendations for the lovely ms Sorbello. Covers are usually done because you want a song that people already know or you're just a lazy-ass performer that can't be arsed to come up with another original (Yes, Dannii I'm talking about you and your heavily sampled fan releases "touch me like that" and "perfection").

I always thought Daughtry's rocky "It's not over" would make a powerful and stunning electro dance floor stomper in the right hands. I don't know how this song fared in Oz but it was a massive hit stateside and could be amazing with Chris' long lashes fluttering as she sings "Its not OOOOOOVer!"

If Chris wants to update a club classic why not drag out Tara Kemp's decade old hit "Hold you tight"? The song's slow groove is easily adaptable to a nice update and god know how awful the video was. The smoke dancers could make a triumphant return to Chris' video in this slinky sexy video.

For the trashtastic Tranny inspired action (and not trying to be mean but Chris has an amazing androgynous name for the clubs)why not mine the most amazing and woefully over looked soundtrack ever? "Grease 2" provided many a great moment but none better than Michelle Pfieffer's heart wrenching duet with the Aussie dude called "(Love will) turn back the hands of time". This song is screaming for a dance remake and I think Aussie bounce fest Hugh Sheridan could do the guy part and in the process help us forget he did a solo album. Oh and he should be at least topless in the video and why not spray Chris gold as an homage to Kelly Llorena? Damn, this actually sounds awesome!! Here's the classic clip for those needing reminding of its greatness.

i'm actually impressed by how wide your fingers can stretch. what a talent :P

Can Chris please cover Shock Your Mama by Debbie Gibson and make it even more filthy please :P Imagine the video - she could unzip some guys pants JUST WITH HER TEETH!!!!!

I'm not sure how I can compete with all of these, but I would love to see an updated cover of Cock Robin's "When Your Heart Is Weak". You know with the right arrangement that this could be a floor-filler.

Well All these suggestions are fabulous! I just couldn't think of anything to mention because lately i really haven't been into much. I think its the bi polarity attacking me again. I was thinking on a few songs tho but i have been in a rocker chick phase lately. So here goes:

Gary Glitter - Do ya wanna touch me (oh yeah) i bet this would make an awesome floor filler if it had a dance remake done to it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-AZQ_bKo460

I think Jer Ber Jones brilliant "Model for me" would make the australian charts boil over if the right singer covered it too. I think Chris has what it takes to turn this into a chart topper!!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M2asJULNtg0

My third and final suggestion is The disco classic "Yes sir i can boogie". This is in desperate need for a big vocal remake that i think Chris could do. Maybe give it an electro makeover and stomp all over it and make it her own! If Dannii can do that to "he's the greatest dancer" the possibility here is endless!
